  • Predictable

    I have been going back and forth on whether or not to buy this book since January, and all the 5 star reviews finally convinced me to go for it. I read The Last Mrs Parrish last year, and the two books are eerily similar. Like, basically the exact same story. I felt Richard was predictable from the very first page, along with every other character. I am definitely wondering about all the “twists” all the reviews are beaming about? What twists?! The only twist for me was in the Epilogue. Disappointed and feeing very blah about this book.

    This book was a let down! I couldn’t wait for it to be over. It builds you up for something great at points and then NOTHING! What a complete waste of my money and time. Lacks authenticity, and honestly it was dull.

    Good read, I like that I didn’t find any obvious grammar errors or typos. It’s definitely different than anything I’ve read before. Just when you think you know what it’s about, they change it up on you which kept me interested throughout.

    Excellent book, part 1 is typical guy meets younger. Part 2 is guy meets another younger and other must go. Part 3 is oh wow! Really?! Epilogue is cherry on top. If you like to watch people-okay, if you think you know everything about people-you’re going to be enlightened. Fun book time.

    The overuse of adjectives felt like the authors were just trying to reach a word-count. And, I would hardly call this a thriller. When the first big “twist” comes, Vanessa’s depression as a newly single woman makes no sense. Don’t waste your money or your time.

    This book starts off slow but picks up like an avalanche of snow. Within the first 6 chapters, things start to happen. It's not a Stephan King book but it makes you feel as though you are walking through a haunted house. Unexpected events, missed connections, and love denied are all themes of this book. I'd recommend it but if you have to be patient for this book to get interesting. B+
